Migrant workers pay the highest effective airfares in Bangladesh, which is backwards, and mostly the result of a specific scam pattern. First, airlines sell in fare buckets: the same seat exists at several price levels, and when the cheap buckets sell out the "price goes up", which is why the fare you saw on Monday is gone by Thursday.
